The Once and Future King explores the shifting boundaries between identity, memory and imagination. Through expressive gestures and unexpected combinations of colour, the work suggests a narrative that remains deliberately open to interpretation.
Working with Japanese gouache and acrylic paint on frosted acetate, Luc Goidadin creates a delicate interplay between transparency, texture and form. The composition invites the viewer to discover new details with each encounter, revealing a quiet tension between the familiar and the unknown.

Cradle explores the delicate balance between protection and vulnerability, evoking a sense of intimacy tinged with uncertainty. Working with Japanese gouache and acrylic paint on aluminium panel, Luc Goidadin creates a composition in which familiar forms take on unexpected qualities. The work invites the viewer to consider ideas of care, dependence and transformation, leaving its narrative deliberately unresolved.

Sidelong is part of a series of imagined portraits on Bristol paper.
By working at pace, rhythmically, using richly pigmented Japanese Gouache paint and large brushes, an expression is rendered loosely and sparingly.

Hommage to Richard Wentworth.
This drawing is inspired by Richard Wentworth’s 35°9,32°18 installation from 1985. It has a sense of imminent collapse and creates a feeling of improbable depth through shadow play. My interpretation has a big pink climber on it.
